Apple Pay® lets you use your Apple® device to pay with your 1st Choice Savings debit card wherever you see the Apple Pay® or contactless logo. Paying in stores with Apple Pay® is easy, safe, and private. Your card details are not shared during a transaction, keeping your transactions private.

Paying With Apple Pay®

iPhone 8® or earlier

If using an iPhone 8® or earlier with Touch ID®:

  • Place your finger on the home button and hold the top of your iPhone® within a few centimeters of the contactless reader.

  • You will see 'Done' and a checkmark on the display letting you know your payment was approved. If vibration and sounds are enabled, you will feel a vibration and hear a beep.

iPhone X®
  • Double-click the side button, then glance at iPhone X® to authenticate with Face ID® or enter your passcode.

  • Hold the top of iPhone X® within a few centimeters of the contactless reader until you see ‘Done’ and a checkmark on the display.

Apple Watch®

  • Double-click the side button and hold the display of your Apple Watch® within a few centimeters of the contactless reader. Wait until you feel a gentle tap.

  • You will see ‘Done’ and a checkmark on the display letting you know your payment was approved.

Where To Use Apple Pay®

Apple Pay® using your 1st Choice Savings credit or debit card works wherever Interac® Flash is accepted. Just look for the Interac® Flash logo or contactless symbol at the checkout. Some stores will also display the Apple Pay® logo.

Quickly And Securely Deposit Your Cheques Anytime, Anywhere

Deposit Anywhere™

A feature on our mobile app, Deposit Anywhere™ allows you to quickly and securely deposit cheques using our banking app on your smartphone or tablet.

Easy

Simply open the app, tap “deposit”, select your account, enter the amount, and take a picture of the front and back of your cheque. Then confirm the details and submit. That’s it. The funds immediately appear in your account. Normal hold periods still apply.

Free, Fast, & Secure

Deposit Anywhere™ is a free service and just as secure as physical cheque cashing. Plus, it’s fast. Most people complete their deposit in less than a minute and can do it from anywhere and at any time, day or night.

Direct Alerts provide you with an additional layer of protection and enables you to detect possible fraud quickly. They allow you to receive notifications via text message or email about your account activity including:

  • New bill payment vendor account added

  • INTERAC e-Transfer new recipient added

  • Digital banking password changed

  • Transaction and balance alerts

  • Login alerts

  • Password lockouts

  • Business activity alerts for approved, pending, expiring, and cancelled transactions

In order to receive alerts via your email or mobile phones, you must register an email or mobile phone contact via online banking.

Before registration, you must accept the user agreement that contains the terms and provisions for use of the alerts feature. You then can proceed to register your email address and/or mobile phone to receive alerts. You can elect to receive alerts only via email, only via a mobile phone, or via both.

Registration Process

The registration process to use the Alerts feature consists of the following steps:

  1. Add an email and/or a mobile contact.

  2. Select the Alert you wish to receive.

  3. Create the Alert.
