Our sponsorships and donations are guided by clear priorities to ensure our support creates meaningful, long-term impact across the regions we serve.

Our Community Investment Pillars

We focus our community support on two core pillars that reflect our values, purpose, and commitment to local economic resilience.

Financial Resilience

Financial Resilience is centered on improving the financial capacity, confidence, and stability of individuals, families, and organizations. We believe that strong communities are built on financial knowledge, self-reliance, and the ability to adapt to change.

We support initiatives that help people make informed financial decisions and build skills that promote long-term security and independence.

Empowering Small Businesses

Empowering Small Business focuses on strengthening small businesses as the backbone of our local economy. By providing accessible financial solutions and fostering collaboration, we help entrepreneurs and small enterprises start, grow, and succeed.

We are committed to supporting businesses that contribute to vibrant local economies and sustainable regional growth.

How We Assess Requests

Sponsorship and donation requests are evaluated based on how well they align with our community investment pillars, values, and strategic priorities. We consider the demonstrated need, community impact, and long-term benefits of each initiative.

While we strive to support a wide range of causes, not all requests can be accommodated.

Requests We Are Unable To Support

To ensure our community investments are focused and impactful, there are certain types of requests we generally do not support. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Requests that do not align with our Community Investment Pillars

  • Political parties, candidates, or partisan initiatives

  • Religious organizations or activities, unless the request supports a broader, non-denominational community benefit

  • Individual fundraising requests, including personal expenses, travel, or tuition

  • Ongoing operating deficits or debt repayment

  • For-profit events or initiatives where the primary purpose is commercial promotion

  • Requests made on behalf of organizations or events outside the communities we serve

  • Activities that may be discriminatory, unethical, or inconsistent with our values

Listing an activity here does not mean it will never be considered, but these requests are less likely to receive funding.

Applying for Sponsorship or a Donation

Organizations seeking support from 1st Choice Savings are encouraged to review our community investment pillars before submitting a request. This helps ensure alignment and increases the likelihood of consideration.

To submit a request, please complete our online application form. We recommend applying well in advance of your event or initiative to allow sufficient time for review.
