Sending and Receiving Interac e-Transfers®

How to send an Interac e-Transfer®:
- Log into 1st Choice Savings and Credit Union’s Online Banking and navigate to the “Transfers” screen
- Set up your sender profile and add your recipient – make sure to create a Security Question for which only your recipient will knows the answer.
- Choose:
- how you want to notify your recipient
- the amount you wish to send
- which account the funds will be transferred from
- you can also choose to send a special message or memo to your recipient. - Send! The funds are debited from your account immediately, at no cost!
- You will receive an email notification once the deposit is complete.
How to receive an Interac e-Transfer®:
- As a recipient, you will receive notification that you have an Interac e-Transfer®. Follow the links provided in the email or text message.
- Once you have answered the security question correctly, you can deposit the funds immediately – no holds, no hassle!
- It’s free to receive an Interac e-Transfer® to your 1st Choice Savings account.
Note: Interac e-Transfer® service is only available for Canadian-dollar accounts held in Canada. There are limits to the monetary amounts you can send. See Limits and Fees section.
