Don Aos Expand/Collapse

Don has been a member of the credit union for 33 years. He is married to Kim and they have 2 young children. Don was born and raised in Lethbridge . Don has been employed with M.S. MacLean Livestock Company Ltd. as a Corporate Controller and CFO for the past 15 years and, prior to that, with Canbra Foods Ltd. as Manager, Corporate Accounting. He has a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) Designation, Certified Management Accountant (CMA) Designation and Bachelor of Administration Degree with Distinction. Don has served as both the Chair and Treasurer for CMA Alberta (Lethbridge Chapter). He is actively involved in coaching both Lethbridge Minor Hockey and Little League Baseball. He has been a member of our Board since 2004 and would like to continue to be a voice and ears for credit union members, and to contribute his business experience in a meaningful way.

Elisha Rasmussen Expand/Collapse

Elisha has been a credit union member for 50 years. Elisha has been married for 16 years to Collin and has two sons, 3 step daughters and 13 grandchildren. Elisha’s background includes TV reporting, marketing and travel. She also worked for the government on the Aish Board. Elisha has served on numerous committees and is the chair of the Community and Member Relations Committee and the Chairman on the University of Lethbridge Senate. She has also been involved in the CMHA, VP of Friends of the Galt Museum, Lethbridge Crimestoppers Board and was an award winning broadcaster. Elisha loves a challenge and to learn new things. Elisha has been a member of the Board over the past 6 years. During that time she has completed multiple courses and training to continue her knowledge while serving on the Board. Her special interest in the media, promoting and fundraising coupled with her knowledge of the community would continue to be an asset.

Roy M. Golsteyn Expand/Collapse

Roy Golsteyn has been a credit union member for 8 years. Roy was born in Lethbridge and is married to Sophie who is an Instructor at Lethbridge College. Together they have 3 children. Roy studied, married and worked in the pharmaceutical industry in Europe, returning to Lethbridge in 2007. Roy is currently an Associate Professor in Biology and a Cancer Research Scientist at the University of Lethbridge. He has served on the Economic Development Board in Lethbridge, numerous University Committees as well as the being a Canada Wide Science Fair Chief Judge. Roy would like to become a member of the Board of Directors at 1st Choice Savings as he believes that financial stability is an important part of a safe, active and prosperous community and he would like to be a part of that.

Paul Hinman Expand/Collapse

Paul has been a credit union member for 18 years. He is married and has been living in Welling for 29 years. Over the years, Paul has worked as a farmer, rancher, and feed lot operator. He served on several government committees from economics to HR. He is the first leader of the Wildrose Party and was elected to the Alberta legislative assembly twice. Paul is interested in economics and government legislation affecting the economy as well as the ability for individuals and small businesses to access capital. He is concerned about the banking industry and the economy as a whole. He believes credit unions play an important role in the community. If elected as a board member he trust his experience in agriculture at the Alberta Legislative Assembly will be a valuable asset.
