The Alberta Regional Network (ARN) was established in 1993 as a joint agreement between Alberta Credit Unions and the ATB to allow joint use of CU and ATB banking machines without charge. Changes in the Canadian payment networks are creating an incompatibility with the ARN network which is resulting in the need to discontinue the long standing arrangement with ATB. As of October 1st, withdrawals by Credit Union members at ATB ATMs will incur the same service charges as non-Credit Union ATMs. Credit Union deposits & bill payments will no longer be accepted at ATB ATMs. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause our members. Credit Union members can continue to perform surcharge free withdrawls, deposits, bill playments, balance inquiries and transfers of funds at any of the 265 ATM locations of Alberta credit unions.
