Careers - Member Service Representative
THE POSITION
- Foster business development through service excellence and product knowledge.
- Reports to the Member Service Supervisor
- Recognize member cues, promote and cross-sells credit union deposit services.
- Ask open-ended questions to determine member needs and refer as appropriate.
- To provide a working environment that encourages pride, teamwork and mutual respect, and is conducive to the attainment of professional and personal goals.

THE PERSON
- Proven track record in meeting sales and service goals
- Interpersonal/Communication: builds and sustains effective working relationships with staff, members and community; strong written communication skills; deals with conflict positively and supports others to resolve differences; ability to sustain openness and trust and effectively handle expression of strong feeling.
- Leadership: positive attitude toward change, provide an environment that supports skill development, take responsibility for personal actions; shows personal initiative.
- Managing Change: ability to balance work and home responsibilities; stress management, effective time management skills; continuous learning and development.
- Problem Solving and Decision Making: Identify and anticipate problems, analyze and generate solutions; take action.
- Working in Teams: participate in team development; work collaboratively to accomplish common goals.
- Innovation/Creativity: finding and communicating new ideas for old problems.
- Strategic Thinking and Planning: ability to relate actions to the strategic plans of the organization; knowledge of the organization and the credit union system.
- Minimum Grade 12, some sales and/or financial institution experience would be an asset
